Thinking of a change?
Broadway Medical Centre is an inner-city Dunedin practice with ambition. We are a 10,000+ patient practice incorporating a rich and varied cross-section of GP’s, a friendly and hardworking nursing team, who take the lead in preventative care, and a large, capable multi-disciplinary clinical and administrative support team.
With rising demands and pressure on Primary Health Care, we are continuously implementing different ways of working, along with adding new roles that support and empower the whole team to deliver excellent patient care. For example, we currently have a full-time Clinical Pharmacist and Clinical Administrator to alleviate the pressure on GPs in their non-patient-facing time, as well as Health Improvement Practitioner and Health Coach roles which are improving levels of access to mental health support thus ensuring our patients’ needs are met by the most appropriate person and in a timely fashion. We also have a Community Support Worker who contributes in a very “hands-on”, practical way to the day-to-day (non-health) challenges that our patients face.
Broadway embraces the concept of Equity and a willingness to learn and incorporate this mindset into all aspects of our operations/services.
We have implemented the Health Care Home model of care and Foundation Standards and working towards the new Cornerstone Accreditation modules.
